KL Rahul declines DC captaincy; Axar Patel likely to lead in IPL 2025

According to IANS reports, KL Rahul has turned down the offer to captain Delhi Capitals in the upcoming IPL season and is happy to contribute as a player. It's likely that Axar Patel will be named the captain.

✅ From my point of view, this is a good decision. KL Rahul should focus on his game and play freely, especially since he's in great form, performing well in the Champions Trophy.

✅ On the other hand, Axar Patel has been with Delhi Capitals for a long time and is already deeply committed to the team.

🏏 Additionally, it's interesting to note that KL Rahul, Axar Patel, Mohit Sharma, and Karun Nair were all part of the Punjab Kings squad in 2018. This IPL will see a bit of a reunion as they come together under Delhi Capitals.
