LSG Names Rishabh Pant as New Captain for IPL 2025

KL Rahul has been replaced by Rishabh Pant as the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) captain in IPL 2025 after being purchased at a record price of 27 Cr. While KL Rahul has been bought for 14 Cr by Delhi Capitals. Pant, who previously captained Delhi Capitals for three seasons (2021, 2022, 2024) and led them to the playoffs in 2021, now takes over at LSG, where Rahul had been captain for three seasons (2022-2024). Under Rahul’s leadership, LSG finished 4th in both IPL 2022 and 2023 and he had previously captained Punjab Kings for two seasons (2020, 2021).
